I began reimplementing some classes, reusing much of the old code.
A lot of things are still missing.

todo: There are much more highlighters in the new design, so they
have to use less memory. Luckily most of their data can be shared
among all instances, or at least among all highlighters in the
same session (for the OctaveHighlighter).
