Improved Observation Wizard
Since many users use KStars because of Ekos, which is then used for astrophotography, we need to optimize other non-Ekos tools in KStars for the same purpose. The observation wizard is important.
An improvement that can be added to it is to filter by FOV (width or height) so that extended objects with known FOVs can be fiterled. For example, let's say I have a 60x40 arcmin sensor. Perhaps I want object which minimum size is 30% of the sensor and maximum size is 110%, so only filter objects between these two ranges. This would make this tool much more useful to astrographographers.
Furthermore, we can go a step further and make it filter by broadband vs narrowband targets (this might be more difficult, but doable). It should also be easy to manage lists of objects. We can have a static (cannot be deleted) Favorites object, so a user right click on an object to add it to favorites. But then can add it to their own customs lists. The benefit is that we can include with KStars some lists, or even allow users to upload their own customs lists to KDE, and then users can perhaps browse and download such lists via KGetNewStuff method.
Finally, it should be possible to export such lists using JSON, including Altitude vs Time, and the images. Perhaps one day these can be exported to some HTML site or used to share the lists.
