remove trailing spaces on modified lines per default 

this alters only the default value, people will not loose their
configured values

    I always disable this feature because it's incompatible with Markdown editing.
    I need to have 2 spaces at the end of the line to force a "New line"/"Line break". Even for this message...
    Is it possible to change the default to "0"?

    For most use cases that is a good default, if it doesn't fit for you, you can change the value in your config. If we alter that, it will just annoy others, like me, that end up with trailing spaces in their files.

    Thank you for the quick answer!
    Well, it doesn't suit me simply because I can't properly save some files (e.g. README.md)
    What is your opinion on ignoring this setting in some cases? For example, when the user selects (or Kate automatically detects) "Markdown" mode.

    Perhaps you can configure the markdown filetype to have some modeline that deactivates that, that might work.
