Clips cut off at the end of timeline, and more bugs.
-
When I import video clips that are more than a few seconds long, and drag them onto the timeline, the final portion of the clip is missing. For example, I import a 30 second video clip, drag it to the timeline, but it cuts off before the final 5 seconds. There is no way to expand the clip on the timeline to display the missing portion, it is not recognized by the software. This renders the entire video editing software as unusable.
-
To add to that, loading up an old project that is two hours in length, the timeline is completely wrong, as it now displays it as five hours in length. Updating to the newest version of Kdenlive crashes every time I import a clip.
Please advise how to get around these bugs. You understand it is an infuriating experience not only using the software, but also having to report the bugs after suffering through them without a fix for months? Simply put, the software is unusable until the bugs are patched, and there shouldn't even be a public release with a warning in BIG RED LETTERING to not waste your time until a working version is made. It's not my responsibility to report the many problems with Kdenlive, it's the developer's responsibility to put out a working piece of software in the first place.
