Support for system/user-specified PYTHONPATH
Currently, it does not seem that KDevelop supports custom PYTHONPATH
; it seems to be limited to /usr/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages
and ~/.local/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages
.
Surprisingly, it does not even seem to check the system values of PYTHONPATH
, neither in the local user environment, nor in /etc/profile
.
This means that neither running a file with Shift+F9, nor linting will work if the file imports any package outside of these standard paths.
This is really inconvenient for python package development because it requires to run the install script on the package every time it is modified (which really defeats the purpose) or to run the files in a terminal outside of KDevelop.
Given that it got no answer on standard platforms (KDE forum and SO) I imagine that it is currently not possible so I would propose this feature for implementation.
