Importing clips from professional camcorders which create a folders structure
When you import a folder which contains a folder tree due to the specific camera recording system (Sony XDCam, Canon, Panasonic P2), Kdenlive has to import the main folder only with all the assets inside without the original folder tree. #287
In the top picture the way Kdenlive behaves today. Below the way Kdenlive should work
I checked what happens in other applications, and they just ignore the folders structure, when they recognize the folder system of a specific camcorder, and they import the main folder only with inside all the media clips. A simple solution to this issue is not ask to Kdenlive to automatically know what to do when it finds this kind of ingesting situation but make it manual by adding a checkbox like "ignore camcorder folders structure" in the Import window and widget. When it's checked Kdenlive will import all the files inside the selected folder without taking care of recreating the original tree. During the ingestion process, all the files which are not media files or not supported by Kdenlive are automatically ignored.
The behavior Kdenlive has today makes very difficult editing from all the Sony xdcam, Canon and Panasonic P2 professional cameras because each single clip is inside one folder inside a main folder, and even other unusefull folder are loaded inside the project, creating a mess which makes the management of the clips very very tricky and complicated.
