With the decision to disable the speed effect on .mlt clips (24f8712f), I would like to transcode all of those clips to DNxHR HQ in place, so I can apply the speed change. The best way I found to do this is to click the Time Remap option and then the Transcode button in the warning bar, because if I transcode from there the original clip is replaced with the new one. But the Time Remap option is understandably grayed out if the clip has the speed effect, so I would first need to remove the speed effect, transcode and re-apply it, which requires moving the clip around so there is enough space on the timeline. I propose adding a "Replace Original Clips" checkbox to the Transcode Clips dialog, which you can by right clicking on a clip in the project bin.
