Clicking Items in Burger Menu Causes Sidebar to Appear

When clicking items in the burger menu and the user exits the menu, the sidebar activates whereas it was previously inactive. Users expect UI elements to retain the last behavior set by the user. If the user removed the sidebar, the sidebar should remain removed.
