Option to invert OCR source

I'm trying to translate some light text on a darker background. In some cases with higher contrast it kind of mostly works, but e.g. the steam client in dark mode is impenetrable. According to https://tesseract-ocr.github.io/tessdoc/ImproveQuality.html#inverting-images this is not really supported. Could an option be added to invert the screen capture colors before OCR attempt, please?
