Create the next stable release of the project. It will end the 5.0 branch which will be merged into master. After that merge, the 5.1 branch will be created as the new stable branch.

Timeline

May 30th

• merge branch 5.0 into master
• create new 5.1 stable branch off of master

following that

• update i18n repos to use 5.1 branch as new source for stable

June 1st

• string freeze (no more string changes on branch 5.1)

June 12th

• code freeze (only critical changes on branch 5.1)

June 14th

• release date
