Use KIO::confirmRenameWarning() for renaming files/folders on desktop
Summary
Desktop previously bypassed the rename confirmation warnings when renaming items directly on the desktop.
This update now uses the common KIO auxiliary module:
KIO::confirmRenameWarning(oldItem, newName, nullptr, callback, showHiddenFiles());
Now the following warnings are shown consistently everywhere:
- File type/extension change
- Hiding a file or folder by adding a leading dot
What changed
Added call to the new centralized KIO::confirmRenameWarning() helper in FolderModel::rename(). Introduced helper method: renameTargetStillMatches() — guards against race conditions (if the item was renamed by another process while the confirmation dialog was opened
Settings
Both confirmation types (ConfirmRenameFileType and ConfirmHide) are now read from kiorc under the [Confirmations] group. The checkboxes are managed in Dolphin → Settings → Configure Dolphin → Confirmations (shared with other KIO confirmations).
