Better volume OSD

Volume OSDs on mainstream mobile platforms typically also have the ability to quickly switch between audio outputs. It'd be nice to try and have most of the features the desktop audio plasmoid has.

The appearance would be another thing worth discussing. Where should we locate the OSD, is it possible to have it next to where the physical volume buttons are?
