Ark's "Compress here" service menu action didn't show any feedback in the window or over the in-progress file in addition to the notification

This caused Linus to miss the progress information because the notification appeared in the corner of his gigantic screen.

We could perhaps overlay a progress bar over the file while the job affecting it is still in progress.
