Folders with previews overlaid do not invert color when selected in Dolphin Compact & Details view modes
After a recent KDE upgrade I noticed this new behavior:
- Breeze folders now respect your color scheme’s “Selection” color or your specified Accent color! (Andreas Kainz, Frameworks 5.88)
It's a nice improvement but there can be a bit of a clash (or lack thereof) with the selection highlight color and the color of the shaded folder icons. I'll mention a suggestion for a general improvement to this enhancement to look better overall, but this issue is focused on something that appears as a bug (and an eye sore).
The issue: Given that Dolphin is using Compact view mode or Details view mode and Show Previews is enabled, When selecting folders which have previews of the files in their respective directory overlaid on top of them, Then the icon color is not inverted (or set to the selection contrast color).
Folder icons without previews overlaid are given an alternate color. See the attached image.
Requested behavior: Folder icons with previews overlaid are given an alternate color.
Icons view mode behaves differently altogether, even without this enhancement, but because of it, an inverted color isn't necessary as it's not much of an eye sore. But perhaps an overall improvement would be to ensure the color of the icon doesn't match the tone of the selection background--make it darker or lighter, saturation level, or something similar.
