Kiview lets you quickly preview various file types (text, images, videos, etc.) in Dolphin without opening the default app.
Similar applications are Apple's Quick Look and Gnome Sushi.
Kiview requires the path of the currently selected file and that of the parent folder to function. This is currently achieved through the use of Dbus calls and some tricks to retrieve the path from Klipper. Obviously, this integration cannot remain as is and will require changes to both Kiview and Dolphin for a clean integration.
Right now I'm the only one working on the project and everything was done by me except the Dutch translation and the icon used for Kiview.
I am committed to adhering to the KDE manifesto and using KDE bugzilla as a bug tracker for the project.
For now there is also a Kiview repository on github which I intend to close when the integration with dolphin is completed.
