New plugin "ThreeSlots". It makes brushtool's shortcut workflow closer to Photoshop and ClipStudioPaint. Each brush slot remember last used brush preset independently from each other, and one of slot is forcefuly switch brush to the "erase" mode. The script can be easily tweaked to more than 3 slots.
