Post-MF focusing / guiding order of operations
My rig failed a meridian flip last night. I had "refocus after meridian flip" selected, and due to SCT image shift during focusing PHD2's guide star moved just outside the search box during the post-MF focus run. PHD2 lost lock and the capture aborted.
This raises a question - why is focus executed after guiding is started post MF (guiding is paused during focus, but by then the target is locked)? As far as I can tell, the post MF focus is kicked off by the capture process, rather than together with alignment and guiding in checkPostMeridianFlipActions
. Would it make sense to refactor this post-MF focus call - where SCTs in particular can be subject to more substantial focus shifts after flip due to mirror flop?
