Allow splitting a line plot into phases
Description
Allow splitting (by hiding line segments) a line plot into phases without removing any data points. See the attached screenshot.
A more general solution: allow applying different styles to selected segments of a line plot (e.g. different colors, line styles, transparency etc.).
