Symlink all of our monochrome icons to end with -symbolic
This is so that we can specify in code that we want edit-do-something-symbolic
and always get a monochrome icon if the icon theme includes both edit-do-something
(a colorful icon) and also edit-do-something-symbolic
(a monochrome icon)
If the icon theme only has edit-do-something-symbolic
, everything is fine because the icon names match.
If the icon theme only has edit-do-something
, everything is still fine since KIconLoader will notice that edit-do-something-symbolic
doesn't exist and fall back to edit-do-something
, which does exist, and show that.
Ultimately we'll want to change the code in all of our apps to explicitly ask for the -symbolic
version when the app wants a monochrome icon. Once that's done, we can transform the symlinks into the real versions, and delete all the non-symbolic monochrome icons.
