gridUnit left header padding doesn't work universally
Kirigami pages have header text with left padding equal to a gridUnit
(18px with the default font size, adjusting as needed).
Kirigami.Page
also has gridUnit
padding, so when page content adheres to these margins, the result looks great:
But it's just as common—if not more common—for the content below the header to not use those margins for a variety of valid reasons:
What we have here is an assumption that isn't always valid, and it contributes to that sense that "KDE stuff always has bad alignment".
it doesn't seem feasible to make all content items have gridUnit
left padding themselves; it just doesn't look good, and it also wastes precious space in narrow windows and mobile mode.
Perhaps we should admit defeat for the gridUnit
margins and use largeSpacing instead
. This is only 8px and is a lot easier to align everything to.
