Installing Using kdesrc-build Fails and Wants to Write to /usr/
When attempting to install and build KTextEditor using kdesrc-build, I think it does compile, but fails to install. This is the log file that is created:
-- installing: /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.kde.ktexteditor.katetextbuffer.policy
cmake error at src/cmake_install.cmake:142 (file):
file install cannot copy file
"/home/[USERNAME]/kde/build/ktexteditor/src/org.kde.ktexteditor.katetextbuffer.policy"
to "/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.kde.ktexteditor.katetextbuffer.policy":
permission denied.
call stack (most recent call first):
cmake_install.cmake:51 (include)
I don't think it should be installing there, right? And I'm pretty sure my config file is set up properly:
# Install directory for KDE software
kdedir ~/kde/usr
# Directory for downloaded source code
source-dir ~/kde/src
# Directory to build KDE into before installing
# relative to source-dir by default
build-dir ~/kde/build
Why is it installing in /usr/
and how do I install KTextEditor without this?
