less manual heap memory management in vimode

Christoph Cullmann requested to merge work/cleanup_memory_handling_vimode into master

avoid small stuff on the heap and manual deletes just put that inline in a vector

on windows we ATM crash inside this code, therefore let's just start with making it simpler
