allow higher zoom levels
This is really useful when doing pixel graphics. I also got a 4k monitor now and there the benefit is even higher, because you need 4x the normal zoom level.
One thing I noticed is that alpha does not scale with the pixels and it looks more "offset" the higher the zoom is:
