The statusbar was made visible before saving the window state, despite its visibility being configurable. Opening a document after the welcome screen restores from this state, which led to the statusbar being visible when it shouldn't have been.
Open a document, disable View->Show Status Bar. Close Krita while a document is open. Restart Krita and open a document. The status bar should still not be visible.

Reminder: the reviewer is responsible for merging the patch, this is to ensure at the least two people can build the patch. In case a patch breaks the build, both the author and the reviewer should be contacted to fix the build. If this is not possible, the commits shall be reverted, and a notification with the reasoning and any relevant logs shall be sent to the mailing list, email@example.com.
