Fix formatting and small typos in README.md

The Readme was partly broken before (part at the bottom formatted as code thus not properly showing screenshots for example). For code sections I used shell for syntax highlighting. Also other parts were not always formatted as code. Additionally I fixed two small typos and streamlined the document a bit.
