Key Bindings in Media Browser
When trying to send a file to the trashcan in the media browser, I get the following error message:
The "Del" key is by default mapped to sending stuff to the trash, as this is the safe option, and "Shift + Del" deletes stuff properly and frees up disk space.
In Kdenlive, the "Del" key is mapped to "Delete the current item".
When I have something selected in the Project Bin, and I hit delete, it does not actually delete the file, or send it to the trash or anything, it just removes the reference to it from the Project Bin. Let's refer to that reference or link as an "Item" instead of a "File"
When I have a "File" selected, and I hit "Del" I want the thing to go to the trashcan. This is the default, and this makes sense. This is also true for almost all software that operates on files.
Since what is in the Project Bin is not actually files, but only references to files, when I select one of these Items, and hit "Del" the item should just go away. (As it does at the moment)
Because it's two fundamentally different things that are selected, in my mind there is no conflict, and this error message should not occur.
I have the suspicion that this error message comes up because Kdenlive refers to the items in the Project Bin as files. If this is true, can we change that?
TL;DR: When the Media Browser window is active, the keybindings of Kdenlive should be deactivated or not monitored.
