MacOS version
For building Kdenlive on MacOS you need to use Craft
Issues with workaround:

installing craft: python SSL issue
▶ browse to Applications/Python 3.* and double-click Install Certificates.command - running Kdenlive: run
craft --package kdenliveto create a dmg and run that to have all files in place

Text is blurry (like Okular in macOS; kate's interface text is crispy while Okular's interface text was blurry). May be the same issue. -
All the frei0r effects are missing -
Layouts are not shown on Mac -> #993 (comment 307103) -
Breeze theme has to be forced automatically -
preview rendering is failing (MJPEG not compatible with interlaced project?) not specific to MAC -
Lowering monitor preview resolutions makes playback worse and stuck -
