I have a folder for an audiobook; the folder has 1 sub-folder for each disc from the audiobook (so, for example 12 sub-folders if 12 discs in audiobook). I want to create a playlist for the entire audiobook but cannot figure out how to do so. I have tried various approaches using playlist editor but they all fail to produce playlist for all tracks in all sub-folders.
For example if I open directory to the audiobook main folder and then select all sub-folders and create a playlist it only contains one sub-folder (usually the first but sometimes the last). If I "flatten" the sub-folders into one then of course it works as expected but I don't want to do this for all of my audiobooks. A further complication is that the tracks need to be ordered by tag "title" rather than filename (although I would be ok with how to do it for filename).
Does anyone know of an approach for doing this (either by filename or "title"?
FWIW I am using Kid3 3.8.1 running on mac os x 10.15.2
