Please pull changes into the stable series.
Hi there. I've noticed that the GTK theme for Breeze has some pretty bad mismatches with the Qt theme. The most glaring one is the highlights for menu items. Or, at least, it did. Because changes that fix those have been pushed to git. Except that they're not in any stable release. I grabbed Breeze's git theme and started to use it, noticing the experience in every GTK app became instantly much nicer and more consistent. But even though point releases in the 5.24 series have been made, there are no improvements to the GTK theme in it. Because there are absolutely no changes being pulled into the stable branch, save for one little exception.
There's no escaping GTK on any Plasma system. Firefox uses it, LibreOffice uses it. Electron uses it. So I think that it is very important for the perceived consistency and stability of the system that changes made to the GTK theme are brought back into the stable branch so that users can benefit from those changes. I attempted to take this issue into my own hands and move Breeze GTK's Flatpak onto to the beta branch, but that was not really the right thing for me to do. I should have come here instead.
I don't see any rationale for keeping GTK theme changes locked to a future Plasma release. The only thing that the GTK theme has right now that I can think of that the Qt theme doesn't is the padding on popup menus, and that's actually a usability fix anyways to correct accidental right click->drag behavior. (I actually think that Qt theme change should have been brought back into 5.24, but that's another conversation.)
With 5.25 beta out, the ship might have sailed on bringing changes into the 5.24 series. But for future changes to the GTK theme after 5.25 goes stable, I would like you to consider bringing GTK theme changes into the stable series.
