Port from deprecated chrome.extension API
They are in chrome.runtime namespace
It's not documented since when but I suppose a long time. Found this while looking into Manifest V3
Extension still works (e.g. mpris controls) as well as opening history permission page from KRunner in both latest Chrome and Firefox
