Feature request: Set to Dark theme via environment variable and QML code
Most Qt's Qt Quick Control themes have an environment variable to set the theme to dark (e.g. QT_QUICK_CONTROLS_MATERIAL_THEME
for Material, QT_QUICK_CONTROLS_UNIVERSAL_THEME
for Universal). Or from a configuration file qtquickcontrols2.conf
. Some themes also support a theme
property to set theme (e.g. Material.theme
).
It could be handy for Qt apps to use qqc2-breeze-style
with dark theme under non-KDE desktops or OSs like Windows, or using a theme that doesn't follow the global KDE theme setting. For example, it is very common for photo and painting applications to use a dark color scheme even if the default is a light scheme.
