Decide on & document KDE's official id string for appstream <developer> tag's id attribute
From https://www.freedesktop.org/software/appstream/docs/chap-Metadata.html#tag-developer:
The element should have a id property, containing a unique ID to identify the respective developer. It is recommended to use a reverse-DNS name, like org.gnome or io.github.ximion, or a Fediverse handle (like @user@example.org) as ID to achieve a higher chance of uniqueness.
Currently in KDE repos there are multiple variants used for id:
- "org.kde" (proposed in utilities/okteta!22 (merged))
- "kde.org" (non-reverse DNS)
- "https://kde.org" (seen with accessibility-inspector)
Given the upstream docs I guess KDE should use "org.kde", consistently? Someone needed to take the lead here (just reporting myself) to have this decided.
And then also document this somewhere, perhaps https://develop.kde.org/docs/packaging/flatpak ?
