Wanted: How-to of SPDX statements for Markdown files (README.md) etc
I want to propose to standardize on how we do the license statements for Markdown files.
Some use HTML comments in the file itself (e.g. README.md):
<!--
SPDX-FileCopyrightText: 2022 Konqi <konqi@kde.org>
SPDX-License-Identifier: CC0-1.0
-->
# Some Title
[...]
Some use the external *.license file -> README.md.license
Then there might be also some who just provide the info via the .reuse/dep5 file.
For consistency it might be nice to standardize here, at least have a recommended way documented on the respective HOWTO wiki page, which currently has no comment on Markdown files: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Licensing
Would need input by someone who knows which tools digest what the best.
For human readers & writers, having the statement in the same file might be most convenient, no need to search it or handle with a different file. Disadvantage is the maybe unusual to some (like myself) HTML trick.
Motivation: too many (unknown) choices when writing a README.md file and wondering how to state the license and finding nothing in the above linked HOWTO.
