Multicursor "next occurrence" (Alt+J): limited matching behavior
Hello,
I've noticed that the "next occurrence" function (bound to Alt+J) has a rather limited matching behavior, sometimes it will pick a next occurrence with no issue, and sometimes it won't. Here are a few examples to illustrate that:
test
(test)
(test)
/test
/test
-test
-test
In this text, using Alt+J after selecting any of the test
occurrences will pick up all the other occurrences. However, whenever I select (test)
, /test
, or -test
, then Alt+J won't be able to pick up the next occurrence.
Is there any chance this (very welcome) selection shortcut/superpower gets an update and matches all substrings in the future, just like Sublime Text?
Anyway, thank you very much to everyone working on Kate, it's a fantastic editor and the multicursor feature was the only missing part for me to move over from Sublime.
