Clarify where bugs should be reported
The KClock Flathub links this repo as the destination for reporting bugs. However, it is not easy to report a bug:
- You need to register a specific KDE Identity to do it (even if you have a GitLab or Google account).
- The KDE Identity requires opening a confirmation email and entering a full name.
- Numbers are not allowed in the username.
- When you finally register a KDE Identity and enter the issues screen, a big red message pops up saying, “Please note that all bug reports and feature requests should be filed on bugs.kde.org and should never be raised here.”
- So you go to bugs.kde.org and enter your email again so you can get another confirmation email.
- You register and save yet another password. You click “Report a bug.” And then…
- KClock isn’t listed as an app on that site.
Perhaps it’s time to review the user experience of reporting a bug. I suspect many bugs go unreported because of this wild goose chase.
